In the recent years, many have been critical of Adela's playing characters who are half her age. In her newest telenovela, she is to to play the mother of the lead. Is this her reply to her cricits?

Mexican telenovela star Adela Noriega is in currently Miami where she had a meeting with Telemundo big boss Don Browne for the contract signing for her newest telenovela under the US-based network. She is rumored to be one of the stars of the Telemundo remake of "Pecado Mortal". For younger viewers, Pecado Mortal's most recent adaptation is Abrazame muy Fuerte which were starred by Aracely Arambula and Fernando Colunga.

Adela, surprisingly, will be play the blind mother of the lead, the some character played by Victoria Ruffo in the Televisa version.

Who has been cast for the lead? There's no word yet but Marlene Favela's name has been frequently mentioned.

Indeed the two telenovela stars have an uncanny resemblance with each other. Parecen hermanas. But mother and daugther?
