Telenovela Malparida to debut in the Philippines via ABS-CBN

Argentine telenovela Malparida (International Title: Wicked Girl) is one of the telenovelas to be aired by Filipino channel ABS-CBN in the first quarter of 2011.

Malparida tells of a story  reminiscent of the Mexican telenovela hit Rubi. Like Rubi, the story of Malparida is a story of an antagonist cum protagonist.

The Synopsis of Malparida:

(Telenovela, 120x1 hr.) Twenty years ago, a woman died from love. A poor woman fell in love with a wealthy man, but that love never blossomed: he chose to marry another woman from his social class. Twenty years later, the daughter of this woman, marked by pain and the absence of her mother, decides to make justice with the only weapon that God gave her: her beauty. Thus, she gains access to the world of this man and begins working for him. In this way, she will implement the worst vengeance: make him fall in love with her and then kill him. But she does not count on the one obstacle that can spoil everything: the man of her life is the son of the man she hates. A revenge story full of perversion, love and pain.

Malparida is the first Argentine telenovela to be shown by ABS-CBN. Other Argentine telenovelas aired in the country are Muneca Brava (local title: Monica Brava), Kachorra and Lalola, which were aired by GMA. TV 5 also transmitted Rebelde Way. Currently, Los Exitosos Pells (Local title: Mr. and Mrs. Pells) is being transmitted by Q, the channel which also aired the English-dubbed Natalia Oreiro telenovela Amanda O.

Malparida, which is distributed by Televisa Internacional, stars Juana Viale, Gonzalo Heredia, Raul Taibo, among others.
