It seems that TV Azteca is poised to counter the launching telenovela of its former star Silvia Navarro under its rival company Televisa by hiring a telenovela superstar, Gabriela Spanic. The Venezuelan actress is rumored to be leading the cast of its newest production: “Señorita Secretaria”.
Spanic is slated to share credits with Omar Fierro, Mariana Ochoa, Gabriela Roel y Sergio Basáñez in the TV Azteca telenovela.
Gaby Spanic's last worked in Telemundo. She was supposed to play Dona Barbara but she had to give up the role when she became pregnant with her eldest child. It appears that La Spanic is ready to go back to work after the scandalous rupture of her relationship with the father of her baby.

[TELENOVELA STAR] GIANELLA NEYRA is a new mommy!
Joining the mommies' club is Peruvian star Gianella Neyra who is also the wife of Argentine actor Segundo Cernadas. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy last September 11 in a clinic in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
"Gianella underwent a C-section," the ecstatic new dad revealed in an interview. "She and Baby Sebastian are doing well," Segundo added.
Gianella and Segundo had been married since 2004. The Peruvian star have opted to live in the country of her hubby since then. She has also starred in a number of Argentine series and telenovelas since transferring to land of tango.

La actriz Gianella Neyra dio a luz, el pasado jueves al mediodía a su primer hijo, Salvador, en una clínica de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
La recordada protagonista de la telenovela "Girasoles para Lucía", quien fue sometida a una cesárea, se convirtió en madre de un saludable bebe de cuatro kilos en una clínica del barrio de San Isidro.
"Pedro (nombre verdadero de Segundo Cernadas, esposo de la actriz) me dijo que Gianella, debido a la cesárea, no puede hablar mucho, pero está feliz. Ella y el bebe están muy bien de salud", afirmó desde Argentina su amiga Vanessa Robbiano.
Ahora Gianella está acompañada por su madre y se espera que el lunes deje la clínica para regresar a casa con el pequeño Salvador.

Love her or hate her—you still have to admit that whenever Rhian Ramos is involved, a project will certainly get a lot of free publicity. And for her first starring role in the primetime block, Rhian is making an image change that might appease some of her ardent detractors. Text by Jason John S. Lim. With Interviews by Jillian Q. LaLola is an Argentian soap about a playboy who is cursed to become a woman by a scorned ex-girlfriend. And playing the newly-turned female Lola is none other than Rhian Ramos herself.
"It's been franchised by a lot of countries already." European countries have already shown their version of the soap, and the Philippines sets out to be the first Asian country to offer its own remake of the program.
starsRhian says that for LaLola, GMA is taking a chance by showing the remake first, before they show the original soap. "It's different from when they [bought MariMar,] which was shown first before they made our version."
"No one has seen the original LaLola." Rhian says, referring to most of the Filipino television viewers—not all. "Not even me!" But she does say she plans on watching before they begin to shoot, "just to do a little homework."
The 17-year old actress says she's already seen the transformation scene online, and she's very happy that the Filipino version will be having its own treatment of the show—as she has seen in the plug they made for the upcoming premiere.
"Very playful." Rhian explains that their director wants a more natural delivery from them, and less rigid reading of the script. "Natutuwa ako kasi dito ako talaga nabigyan ng freedom para gawin 'yung stule na gusto ko."
Dominic Zapata, fresh from Ako si Kim Samsoon will be holding the reigns of this new offering, and already Rhian is sure she'll be in good hands.
"Siya 'yung very first director sa buong buhay ko. So... Reunited and it feels so good!"
Already, the cast is going through workshops—first up being a dramatic workshop with Director Gina Alajar. "Balita ko, magkakaroon kami ng comedy workshop sometime this week. [That's] something to look forward to."
starsSomething else to look forward to is Rhian's team-up with JC de Vera, who she's been spending a lot of time with lately. But fans of Yasmien Kurdi, don't fret. As Rhian had said time and time again, she's not taking JC away from the JC-Yasmien love tandem.
Not that Rhian doesn't feel special whenever JC's around.
"Iba kasi eh," Rhian gushes. "He treats me like a lady. Pag naglalakad ako, lalo na kapag naka-heels, alalay todo! Mas babae ang feeling ko pag nandoon siya."
And we're sure that will help a lot when Lola begins to have feelings for JC's character Facundo.
LaLola will premiere soon, part of GMA Telebabad! And be sure to tune in the first week of the star-studded show that will also feature Ms. Eula Valdez, Angelika dela Cruz, and Lovi Poe, with the special participation of Isabel Granada, Jewel Mische and Ms. Iza Calzado .

William Levy y Maite PerroniMEZCALENT A pesar de ser todo un caballero, a William Levy se le colmó la paciencia con los rumores que aseguran que el romance que vive con Maite Perroni en la telenovela Cuidado con el ángel (Televisa) va más allá de la actuación y dijo que está cansado de los chismes que han surgido alrededor de ese asunto. "La verdad discúlpame pero no quiero seguir hablando de esto porque todos los días es lo mismo y lo mismo y lo mismo, ya quiero trabajar tranquilo y salir de estos chismes", dijo a Televisa espectáculos el cubano de 29 años. El rumor sobre la supuesta relación del actor con la cantante de RBD comenzó luego de iniciar las grabaciones de la telenovela que ambos protagonizan, cuando la intérprete de “Rebelde” anunció la ruptura con su novio de tres años. Por si fuera poco, a los días, Levy dijo que estaba teniendo problemas con su esposa y varios medios han difundido imágenes en los que aparecen juntos en Acapulco, pero han aclarado que son escenas de la telenovela y no de la vida real. "Son imágenes de cuando fuimos hacer escenas a Acapulco, no son imágenes de Maite y yo yendo a Acapulco a pasar un fin de semana, para nada, quiero que la gente sepa que no fuimos ella y yo a pasarla bien a la playa ni nada de eso", concluyó el actor, quien a raíz de los rumores y de sus largas jornadas de trabajo, está teniendo momentos difíciles con su pareja, Elizabeth Gutiérrez.
