Mario Cimarro and Marlene Favela reunite in Telemundo's Los Herederos del Monte

Mario Cimarro will soon return to Telemundo, after his highly controversial participation in the Televisa telenovela Mar de Amor.

The hunky Cuban actor will star opposite Mexican telenovela star Marlene Favela in the adaptation of the Chilean telenovela "Los Hijos del Monte".As revealed in the promo, the Telemundo version will carry the name "Los Herederos del Monte".

This telenovela reunites the stars of Gata Salvaje, Venevision's most successful telenovela ( in terms of sales).

Some critics however say that thiis telenovela is an opportunity for Mario Cimarro to show that he is truly a professional and that that he is capable of  getting along with his co-actors. Said telenovela star had several well-publicized scandals, particularly involving Ninel Conde, when he made his last telenovela, Televisa's Mar de Amor.

Meanwhile, everybody is excited with Marlene Favela's return to the small screen. The actress was seen last in the Televisa telenovela Amor sin Maquillaje in 2007. For Marlene, this project signals her return to Telemundo. Marlene Favela previously starred in in Telemundo's highly successful Zorro, la Espada y la Rosa.

Preparations for the shooting of the scenes of Los Herederos del Monte are underway.
