Rafael Amaya takes on the lead role of the new Argos
telenovela called El Señor de los Cielos (The Lord of the Heavens).
El Señor de los Cielos is a
narconovela, a telenovela subgenre focused on the world of drug trafficking.
Amaya will play the role of Amado Carrillo Fuentes, a mafia
member who was one of the most powerful drug traffickers of his time.
“In my role, I am both good and bad” says Amaya. “We will show
the human side of the drug trafficker.”
The
telenovela El Señor de los Cielos will be produced by Epigmenio Ibarra for
Telemundo. Filiming will start in a few weeks in Mexico City.
